Toyota and Uber Could Change How We Drive

Toyota automakers released pretty big new recently, stating that it’s going to be investing in Uber, the nation’s largest ride-sharing platform. The new partnership means that Toyota is going to be exploring new leasing options for Uber drivers. So you can use your Uber earnings to cover payments on your new 2016 Toyota Prius

“We’re excited that Toyota, the largest auto manufacturer in the world, is making a strategic investment in Uber as part of a broader global partnership,” said Emil Michael, Uber chief business officer.

So what does this mean for our Decatur, AL Toyota drivers? That partly depends on if you plan to be an Uber driver, or already are one. However, on a larger scale, it does give Toyota another insight into what’s really important to a lot of us: safety and user experience. The automaker has always put a large importance on developing vehicle technology that makes driving a safer and an all around more enjoyable experience.

With a 2016 Toyota Corolla, you can enjoy a small, efficient, and overall attractive sedan. In a 2016 Toyota RAV4, you get a capable and entertaining crossover SUV that’s hard to beat. And with the plethora of safety tech in every Toyota model like Toyota SafetySense, you get peace of mind during every ride. From vehicle stability control to pre-collision technology, pedestrian safety systems, blind spot monitoring, and lane departure alerts, you have a vehicle that’s actively working with and for you.

Now that the automaker is working with Uber, we’re hopeful at Serra Toyota of Decatur that this partnership will allow Toyota to further understand what we value, whether we’re a passenger or a driver.

While we’re excited about the future benefits of this partnership, there’s plenty to love currently during the ToyotaTime sales event which ends on May 31st. So stop on by to get a great deal on many 2016 Toyota models like the 2016 Toyota Camry LE
