Will The Next Toyota Prius Be A Plug-In?

At Serra Toyota of Decatur, we believe in keeping current with news and updates about 2016 Toyota Models as well as potential new features. With more customers expressing an interest in hybrid driving technology and fuel efficiency, we are proud to feature the 2016 Toyota Prius as part of our selection of 2016 Toyota models.

Although Toyota has revealed plans to move the model towards plug-in hybrid technology, the Toyota Prius has features that improve the 2016 Toyota model’s fuel efficiency without sacrificing the driving experience. With its intention to lead the way in reducing fossil fuel consumption, Toyota faces great challenges moving forward in the Toyota Prius (along with other 2016 Toyota models).  As the Toyota Prius has progressed through various generations, Toyota has consistently made improvements on next-generation models, and very few were needed for the 2016 Toyota version’s  fuel efficiency.

However, moving towards a completely plug-in car provides greater challenges for Toyota as a company. With its Toyota Prius Prime model, Toyota hopes to break the 60 mpg barrier. Moving towards plug-in technology would grow the Toyota Prius brand, as well as move the company forward… but for current (and potential) hybrid drivers, the 2016 Toyota Prius is an exceptional model, engineered to balance fuel efficiency and overall driving experience. No matter what the future brings for the brand, the 2016 Toyota Prius is definitely worth your attention.
